From the moment Courtney reached out about their wedding at Edinburgh Zoo, I had a feeling their day would be something truly special. And when I met them in person for their pre-wedding shoot, it confirmed everything—these two have that kind of effortless connection that makes you believe in soulmates. You could just feel how much they adore each other.

Courtney and Mark’s story began while they were studying in Edinburgh. It didn’t take long for them to realize they were in it for the long haul. Edinburgh quickly became a place filled with memories—so much so that Mark proposed during their first visit to the zoo! That moment turned the venue into more than just a location. It became a meaningful part of their love story.

Their wedding day was everything you'd hope a summer wedding would be: warm, joyful, full of colour and life. The ceremony and reception took place in the stunning Macmillan Room of the Mansion House, which was filled with natural light and overlooked lush, green surroundings. It felt like a hidden oasis in the heart of the city.

One of the things I loved most about this day—aside from the pure joy radiating from everyone—was having my sister with me. Shooting alongside her made the whole experience even more relaxed and special, and we were both constantly pinching ourselves at how magical the day felt.

As the celebrations kicked off and we said our goodbyes, we couldn’t stop talking about what an incredible day it had been. So full of love, laughter, and genuine moments.

And the photos? Well… this post is just a tiny glimpse into all the beauty and emotion of the day.
